Mariann K. Shea, 68, of Biltmore St. passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, June 2, 2022 with her sister, Helen, at her side. Mariann was born in Indian Orchard on March 2, 1954, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Jane (Brennan) Shea. She was a lifelong resident, educated in local schools, graduating from Classical High School and STCC with degrees in Physical Therapy and Accounting. Mariann started her career as an Inventory Control Specialist for Albert Steiger Inc. She then joined the West Springfield Dept. of Public Works where she was a Fiscal Assistant over 28 years before retiring this past April. Mariann enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and the beach. She was a big fan of the series, NCIS. She was predeceased by her parents. She leaves her sisters; Helen Shea of Springfield with whom she made her home and Jane Shea of Hatfield and many cousins and dear friends in the area.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL GATHER TO REMEMBER MARIANN ON FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 2022 AT RATELL FUNERAL HOME, 200 MAIN ST., INDIAN ORCHARD FROM 1:00 TO 3:00 P.M.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
