SPRINGFIELD- Marion F. Paquette, 85, of Springfield and a longtime resident of Indian Orchard entered the House of the Lord on Thursday evening at her home, surrounded by her loving family and her strength from a lifetime of prayer and belief in God. Marion was born in Springfield on January 15, 1934, a twin and one of six children to Richard E. and Esther B. (Loveland) Braese. Marion grew up in a large and loving family and attended local schools. Marion worked for Alamac Knitting Mills in Indian Orchard, as a machinist and supervisor. She was what you would call crazy about dogs, which led to her becoming a professional groomer. Marion found her true calling when she began working for the Pup Tent as an animal groomer and later, at Michelle’s Dog Grooming before retiring. She had a way with animals and throughout her life had numerous dogs. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield, where she was baptized and received her first Communion, and received her rites of confirmation at St. Michaels Cathedral in Springfield. Marion’s strong catholic faith carried her throughout her life and she never lost sight of her faith. She enjoyed her family tremendously, doting on each child as they were the only one. Marion had a green thumb and loved plants of all shape and sizes. Marion was predeceased by her husbands. She also was predeceased by her beloved son Richard C. Bowler III and her siblings; Richard and Edward Braese and Laura Lanoue. She leaves her loving and devoted children; Karen L. Villanueva of Ludlow, James P. Bowler of Springfield and Michael P. Bonneville and spouse Marie of Monson. Her beloved dog, Kaylee. Her dear siblings; William Braese of Indian Orchard and her devoted twin sister, Mary Shlosser of Ware. Her cherished 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and her many lifelong dear friends at our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church including Sr. Connie, who was so close to her throughout the years but especially these past few weeks during her illness, her faith and unwavering support carrying Marion on to eternal life.
