WILBRAHAM-William H. Goodnow, 88, of Seneca Street passed away peacefully on Thursday morning at Lifecare of Wilbraham after a long courageous battle with dementia. Bill was born in Springfield, the son of the late Harold R. and Emma (Wright) Goodnow. He was raised in Springfield and graduated from Springfield Trade School. Bill married the former Therese Roberts on August 11, 1952 and they enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. Bill worked for the PVTA as a Driver over 25 years prior to his retirement. Bill was a quiet reserved person, he enjoyed working in his yard and taking care of his home. Bill and Therese especially enjoyed trips with the family to Orleans on Cape Cod, he often was found at the Audubon lands, bird watching. He was a member of the BPOE Elks in Orleans. He leaves his beloved wife; Therese (Roberts) Goodnow. His children; William Jr. and Laurie A. Goodnow both of Wilbraham and Nancy Elliott and her husband Leslie and their son, Nathan of Ware. He is survived by a brother, Charles Goodnow of Ontario, PQ, Canada and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a sister, Marjorie Bullivant predeceased him. There are no calling hours. A private burial will be held with the immediate family in East Wilbraham Cemetery.
